Insurance: I do not accept insurance, however, read below about how you can use your insurance to cover some of the cost of our sessions.

Insurance Plans:
My services are reimbursed by most insurance companies (e.g., Blue Cross Blue
Shield, Aetna, United Health Care) on an "out of network"
basis. In order to find out how much your insurance will cover on an "out of
network" basis, you can call the number on your insurance card and ask the
service representative. My
clients pay
me at the time of each session. Then I give the individual a receipt for the
session that he/she mails to the insurance carrier. The insurance company will
mail you a reimbursement check for something in the range of 50% to 80% of the fee
or each session,
depending on the individual policy.
HMO Plans: I am not an HMO provider for any insurance company. I have chosen not to take part in HMO's because they require that your personal information be released to them regarding your sessions, and they are often very restrictive in terms of sessions allowed. I find that these things tend to cause interference with clients' treatment and disrupt the therapy process. Some practitioners do not feel as I do, and therefore, are on HMO panels. If you have HMO coverage, call your insurance carrier and ask for a list of licensed therapists in your area. If you do not feel that the first therapist you meet is a good fit for you, do not hesitate to find another therapist on your HMO plan. There are good therapists on HMO panels, so do not give up until you find someone who is right for you.
